We understand that one of the main reasons why patients choose to ignore their oral health is because of the costs associated with dental treatment. Here at Williams Lake Smiles, the last thing we want to hear is that a patient failed to receive the treatment they need because they feel they couldn’t afford it. For this reason, Dr. Rudy Wassenaar is happy to offer a large variety of different payment and financing options in order to ensure that his patients can move forward with their wisdom tooth extraction or whatever other dental procedure they might need. We encourage you to read on to learn more about the costs associated with this treatment and what we can do to help you afford it.
The cost of a wisdom tooth extraction tends to vary based on each patient’s individual needs. If your wisdom tooth is impacted, more steps may need to be taken to ensure that your extraction proceeds normally. On average, the cost of having a single wisdom tooth removed is between $200 and $400. This cost includes the tooth removal, the anesthesia, and any required follow-up visits to our office. To get all four wisdom teeth removed, you can expect to spend around $1,200.
When it comes to paying for your extraction, we are happy to say that we accept a large variety of different payment options. In fact, we accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and all major credit cards. We expect to receive payment at the time that services are rendered.
Aside from the options above, we also accept financing through Medicard. Medicard is a popular financing option that has been helping Canadians receive medical care since 1996. What makes Medicard a great option for financing your treatment is the fact that it requires no down payment, has a high approval rate, needs no collateral, and provides competitive interest rates. Not only that, but you will not be penalized should you choose to pay your treatment off early.
Your insurance may cover some or even all of your wisdom tooth extraction. Should you wish it, we would be happy to file your insurance claims for you. On your first visit to our practice, be sure to bring your insurance plan information with you so that we can go over it with you, finding out what your plan will and won’t cover. Please be aware that many insurance plans require that you pay a deductible, which must be paid at the time services are rendered.
In order to find out how much your wisdom tooth extraction will cost, you must first attend a consultation with Dr. Rudy Wassenaar at our Williams Lake, BC office. During your consultation, the doctor will perform a thorough examination of your oral health, determining the condition of your wisdom teeth and what will need to be done to ensure that your treatment goes as smoothly as possible. If you would like to schedule your own no-obligation consultation with Dr. Wassenaar, then please contact our office today.
